Radio Flyer

Jakob got an early Easter and birthday present from Noni and Lito--a Radio Flyer wagon!  It arrived on Tuesday and we couldn't wait to get him out in it, especially with the beautiful spring weather.  We took him out after his bath to get some fresh air before bedtime and although there's not a smile on his face, he was quite content.  Who says the wagon is only for 18 months and up?  It worked just great for Jakob, along with some extra blanket padding of course.

Solids

After trying for 2 months with rice cereal and Jakob refusing, Mom got some advice from her friends and tried banana on Friday, March 16th. Success!  Jakob took about 6 spoonfuls.  Unfortunately it only lasted for 2 days.  Since then, he's also tried applesauce and sweet potato and each have lasted for 2 days with no success after that.  Looks like he may be a picky eater!  Next on the list...avocado!

John Deere Baby

Had to get a pic of Jakob in his John Deere outfit before he grows out of it.  On a beautiful day like today, he's wishing he was out on the John Deere with PaPa!  In the last couple weeks, he's discovered his feet and loves to put things between them and pick things up with his feet.  The paper continues to be his favorite toy!

Nana's Sugar

Nana and PaPa came for a visit on March 3rd to give Mom and Dad a night out for a work event.  Although Jakob was not eating very well and was a bit fussy, Nana knew how to cheer him up with some good sugar!

Avid Reader

Jakob is an avid reader...ok, maybe not quite yet.  However, he loves his advertisements.  The "crinkle, crinkle" of the paper gives him at least 5 minutes of enjoyment!  Free toys are the best!

Lovin' the New Toy

Although Jakob isn't nearly ready to use his walker since his feet are still about 6 inches from the ground, he loves being pulled around the house in his new toy.  He likes to put his hands on the tray and looks like a little man driving a car.
