February Fun

February was such a fun month for Jakob with a lot of development!  Mom and Dad love every day with him and he's still a bundle of laughs.  He seems to understand most of what we say now, from "sit down" to "where are your shoes".  Any mention of the word "outside" and he goes to find his winter jacket to bring it to Mom or Dad.  He certainly had his burst of language this month as well, mimicing most everything Mom or Dad say, from "apple" to "Elmo".  Some of the fun "daily" events we had this month included putting together his toddler table and chairs on February 6th (Jakob helped of course), the first "home" haircut on February 17th, getting to ride in the sled for the first time on February 17th for a surprise couple of inches of snow, and discovering light for the first time when using a flashlight on February 18th.  We also had a snow day on Thursday, February 21st where Mom and Dad both were home in the afternoon.  Jakob didn't like that the snow was freezing cold so he wasn't too happy to get it on his hands (because he refuses to wear his mittens) but he did enjoy shoveling the driveway so that was fun.  And now, he continues to shovel the driveway and other surfaces without snow.  He also enjoys hiding in our corner cabinet on the kitchen island after removing all of the plastic containers as well as pretending like he's driving in the car.  Fun times!
