Weekend in Branson

On the weekend of September 7th, Jakob had his first trip to Branson, MO.  He mostly had fun exploring the hotel room given the short trip; however, we did have some adventures around Branson as well. On Saturday, after a four hour timeshare presentation, we took a tour of Stone Hill Winery and on Saturday evening, Jakob enjoyed his sweet potato and catfish at Fall Creek Steak and Catfish House. What he really was interested in though was Mommy's "Kirby's Magic Dream" dessert at Cakes-n-Creams on Saturday night.  Yummy!  He was dancing to the jukebox music while Mom and Dad ate their ice cream.  On Sunday morning, we woke up before sunrise and got to see the sun rise over the mountains on our morning walk around the hotel.  We also got to explore Talking Rocks Cavern (which he hated) and take a hike on the nature trails outside of the cave, viewing the pancake rocks.   All in all, a good time, despite Jakob getting pink eye the last day of the trip.  It wouldn't be a trip out of town without an illness to contend with!
